Does ChatSpark upload or save my microphone audio?
No. The microphone stream, level analysis, and playback sample stay inside this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded to ChatSpark or stored on a server.
Why does the microphone test show no signal?
The microphone may be muted, blocked by browser permission, selected incorrectly, or in use by another app. Check those settings, then choose the correct input and retest.
What is a good microphone level?
A level that regularly reaches the Good range without entering Clipping is usually suitable. If it stays Low, move closer; if it clips, reduce gain or move farther away.
Can I test a headset or external USB microphone?
Yes. Connect it first, allow microphone access, and choose it from the input selector. Some browsers reveal device names only after permission is granted.
